Associate Artist

Jill Dowse

Jill is a theatre, music and voice practitioner, and co-artistic director of The Bone Ensemble. In 1987 she co-founded Foursight Theatre, with whom she has created many performances and is now involved with the company as an Associate Artist. Recent work includes Can Any Mother Help Me? (as Performer / Deviser with Foursight Theatre) Car Park Show No. 1 (a site-specific piece for the Humber Mouth Festival 2008), Thatcher the Musical (song writer), Voice In-Site and Again (devised solo pieces) and research and development for the Fermata, in association with The Other Theatre ( Denmark ) and the Roy Hart Theatre ( France ). Jill is also a lecturer in Drama at the University of Hull , with research interest in voice, site-specific performance, devising and performer training.
